Take l-glutamine instead, its the real amino acid and is safe with anything. Glutathione breaks down from l glutamine…

Its an amino acid, which means that you are already getting some from your diet. However, if you are taking it to build muscle, or to prevent muscle loss, you want to take it seperate. Its a building block – and feely combines with other amino acids to create yet other compounds – so if you want it to do, what gluathione does – take it seperate. Before a meal by half an hour, or after a meal by two hours.
Be well,

I think I was told to take it on an empty stomach. Can’t remember for sure though, sorry.

Glutathione is a tri-peptide and is one of the body’s main antoxidants. It is made from the amino acids glycine, cysteine, and glutamate. If you’re taking glutathione orally as a supplement, it probably will be broken down during digestion into the above mentioned single amino acids. Most research shows that glutathione supplements do not raise your body glutathione levels. It is usually safe to take, but its likely a waste of money.
N-acetyl-L-cysteine has been shown to raise glutathione levels, but supplementation of this usually leads to some sort of physical discomfort.
