Can I Give My Dog Glutathione-enhancing Whey Protein?

Can I give my dog glutathione-enhancing whey protein to help liver functions. She is also on S-Adenosylmethionine (Zintonil). Would adding a little glutathione-enhancing whey protein help her liver function as well?
Can I give her just the glutathione-enhancing whey protein and skip the medication? As would prefer a more “natural approach to help in her liver function.

Definately speak to your vet, dogs have different systems then we do, and it might be hard for your dog to break it down, or it could interfer. Definatly consult.

Ask your vet. Never ever take your dog off prescribed medication and place them on supplements without talking to a vet first.

Talk to your vet. Taking her off the S-AME could lead to complications. Maybe ask your vet about this supplement and see what they think. They could always look it up on VIN for you. Just remember that dogs react differently to supplements than people do. Not all supplements affect dog sin the same way.

I would speak to your vet before adding anything like this, especially if your dog has any health issues. Dogs do not process foods and supplements the same way humans do, and giving a supplement without knowing it’s effects can actaully make a condition worse, not better.

I would locate a holistic vet and ask this question of them. Get an appointment with her, send all the dog’s records over there, and get a game plan with this person.

I would most definitely consult your vet first.
