What Dosage Of Folic Acid To Take While Pregnant? Is Hakubi C Whitening Supplement Safe To Take While Pregnant?
I’m 4 weeks pregnant, and taking a 500mcg folic acid pill 2 times a day (which means daily dosage of 1000mcg). Is this amount ok? I’ve yet to attend my first antenatal appointment, so I can’t ask the doctor yet.
Also, is it ok to take the skin whitening supplement ‘Hakubi C’ while pregnant? The leaflet inside the supplement box says it is also an extra supply of Vit C for pregnant women. Should be ok right?
HAKUBI C
●With a blend of 600mg og Vitamin C and L-Cystine, this shows exellent effectiveness against pigmentation such as splotches, freckles, sunburn.
●It is blended with calcium Pantothenate and Orotic Acid, which aid in the functioning of Vitamin C.

1,000 mcgs of folic acid is fine. Are you also taking a prenatal vitamin with folic acid? Then you’ll be getting more than 1,000 but it’s okay. What you don’t need you won’t absorb.
Bring your Hakubi C to your next prenatal visit. If you’re not sure I wouldn’t take it. At four weeks the baby’s development is very critical to risk it.

My prenatal vitamin has 800 mcg in it which it says is 100% the daily value. As for the Hakubi C you should ask your doctor.
