Is Salt Used For Skin Whitening?

That’s a new one! Not as far as I know, no.

There Are 6 Responses So Far. »

  1. Octyl salicylate is used for skin whitening
it is a salt of the saliculic acid that is found in wintergreen leaves. it can be found in various cosmectics and sunscreens.

  2. don’t use salt . it clogs the pores and cause breakouts. use baking soda and water for 1 min and then rinse . after that put a no oil based lotion on oil causes your skin to fade and wrinlkel.

  3. yes, but in small quantities. its home remedy. salt is mixed with littele lemon juice,

  5. I’m not sure about salt but I know that sour cream is used for skin/face whitening. It can help reduce the appearance of rosasia (spelling??) too. I’ve lessened the appearance of my freckles with it.

  6. I’ve never heard that one. And using lemon is definitely not a good idea (unless you have oily skin, it’ll dry up your skin totally). But i know that washing your eyes in water with a litttttle salt will make the white part, whiter. But take care that no solid salt gets into your eyes, it sh’d be completely dissolved.
