  1. Baking soda will not whiten your skin, it will however whiten your teeth. The best way to protect your skin would be to wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30. You can get water proof and sport sunscreen. There aren’t any “at home” remedies for lightening you skin, so your best bet is to protect yourself now. If you have un-even skin tone Grape seed oil, rose hip seed oil and papaya seed extractw will help to even out skin tone by lightening, just don’t expect huge results.

  2. Some tips on how to protect your skin from the sun.
1.Long-term exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays can damage your skin. To protect it, stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the rays are at their strongest. And remember that clouds don’t block UV rays.
    2.Seek shade when you’re outdoors
    3. 3Wear a hat, preferably with a 4-inch brim all around, to effectively cover your face, neck and ears.

    4. Step4Wear long sleeves and long pants, making sure they’re made of tightly woven fabrics
5.Use sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15 every day to help protect against incidental sun exposure; reapply it after swimming or sweating
6.Keep in mind that a typical T-shirt has a lower SPF than the American Cancer Society recommends, so you’ll still need to apply sunscreen to areas the T-shirt covers.
7.Be aware that ultraviolet rays generally reflect off water, sand, snow and any light-colored surface, such as concrete; be diligent in applying sunscreen when you’re around these surfaces.
8.Remember that some ultraviolet radiation will penetrate water and windows, so you always need protection.
9.Avoid indoor sunlamps and tanning beds, since they can be more harmful to your skin than the sun.
    Homemade recipes
Moisturize your skin by creating a nutrient-rich body butter with ingredients from your kitchen. 1 ripe banana Flesh of 1 ripe avocado 1 stick softened sweet butter 1/4 cup whipping cream 1 or 2 drops of lavender or geranium essential oils.Blend the ingredients one at a time in a food processor until smooth. Add more whipping cream if necessary to make the mixture silky. Steam in the bathroom to open your pores and prepare your skin for the body wrap. Place an old blanket on the floor, and put two plastic trash bags (end to end) on top of that. Massage the body butter onto your skin (avoiding the eyes), lie down on the trash bags, and wrap yourself in the bags and blanket. Relax for about 15 minutes and rinse.Chocoholics can rejoice because we’ve been saying for years that chocolate is good for you. It’s a great way to make your skin feel silky and luxurious and it’s also great to protect your skin from free radicals. This chocolate facial mask is not only decadent, but it will exfoliate the dead skin from your face. To make it, combine 1/3 cup cocoa (chocolate powder), ¼ cup of honey, 2 tablespoons of heavy or sour cream, and 3 teaspoons of oatmeal powder in a large bowl until consistent. Apply it to your face and gently massage it into your skin to exfoliate the dead cells from it. Leave the mixture on your face for about 20 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. You’ll notice the difference in your skin right away.
For those with dry skin, mix one egg yolk, one teaspoon honey and a teaspoon olive oil. Smooth over your skin and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse in lukewarm water and pat dry. If you have vitamin E oil, try adding a few drops to this recipe.
Avocado can also help heal dry skin. Mash up one fresh avocado with a tablespoon of olive oil. Spread all over your face and neck and let sit for about 20 minutes.
Try honey for a quick facial that will keep your skin glowing all day. Rinse your face with warm water and pat dry. Spread the honey all over your face and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry with a cold wash cloth.
For a deep down clean, exfoliate with kosher salt. Mix three tablespoons olive oil and one tablespoon kosher salt. Gently rub into dry skin and rinse. The key word with this facial is GENTLY! Remember, exfoliating can agitate and prolong a breakout or rash. Avoid exfoliating if you have any type of acne or extreme sensitivity.
To tighten skin, all you need is one beaten egg white. Spread the frothy egg white all over your skin and leave on until it dries.
Blend your facial for healthy skin. Add a 1/2 cup of oatmeal to the blender with lemon juice and a few splashes of milk and mix well. Apply to the face and neck and let sit for about 20 minutes. The lemon juice can help reduce the signs of age spots.
    Good luck, Hun!!
