How To Get Rid Of Dark Blemishes (hyperpigmentation) On Body (arms, Back, Chest, Legs)?
October 8th, 2009 • Related • Filed Under
I am Milk Chocolate in complexion. Any blemishes that I get whether from acne breakout or mosquito bite turns super dark (hyperpigmentation) and stays for weeks on face to months at a time on body. What type of baths, soaks, soaps, exfoliants or anything can I use? I dont want to use harsh chemicals or anything that is made for horrid “Skin Whitening.” Just want to help my skin repair itself better on my body.

I used microabrasion scrubs, and gycolic peels 30% every nights, with lightning cream.

Use a high quality scrub that exfoliates. I also heard cocoa butter helps. If you can afford it you can get laser peels.

Okay, what I do for brown marks left after acne is I buy a aloe vera leaf from a grocery store. Cut it open and I tape it on the place I need healing overnight. The scar should be lighter after a while. It might get a little itchy and uncomfortable though ’cause of the aloe vera’s pricky structure. But hey, no pain no gain.
I used to go to a dermatologist to get AHA’s for brown marks as they are supposedly known to renew skin. But all I got were blotches of black around the place. And it took very long to get rid of it.
I heard Shea Butter could repair damaged skin. But I’m not sure what to recommend for that as I’ve not tried it yet. There’s a lot of rave reviews, you might wanna google it.
Good luck. (:
