A Question About Skin Color?
November 5th, 2009 • Related • Filed Under
Why is it an issue when dark-skinned people want to lighten or whiten their skin but every beach you go you see white people getting tan and they don’t get reprimanded for it.
I mean, its like every time a black person wants to be white, they assosiate her so easily to Michael Jackson or she gets ostracized but for a white person to go to the tanning salon, it just seems like she’s having tea.

thats life get used to it.
further more it’s not about skin color it’s a persons likes and dislikes
people need to learn to look beyond race and color it’s life.

They only people who make an issue of a black person wanting to be less black, are the black people. They consider it insulting that the person is not proud of who they are.
White people with any intelligence, know that tanning your skin is extremely harmful to your skin, BUT, they prefer to stay out of peoples business. If someone feels they need to ruin their skin, we just do not care. It is their body and their business.
I feel that your skin color should not matter to ANYONE.

For starters, white people are not trying to be black. The issue when dark-skinned people want to lighten or whiten their skin is to look more of a light skin black person. This is all in the head of blacks and has nothing to do with white people tanning.

Maybe some people don’t like being so white in this climate of hate, where people of color assume you must be a racist just because of the color of our skin.
