Is It True That Whitening Products Are Not “safe”?

ive heard that a chemical used in bleach is found in small content for whitening products , and is it ok to use whitening produts for younger people, like around 16 there. because my sis face looks really “burned” out but fair stil. her face looks alright overall but theres white heads, her face is blotchy too and veins, can be seen. her skin turns really red espc under the sun as well. is this due to the super strong chemicals in her face care products?

    Yes ofcourse its true.especially bleaching often will make ur skin VERY ROUGH!!!!

    Ive used them and haven’t seen any negative or lasting effects besides for maybe increased sensitivity due to the drying out of skin. (I just used a moisturizer in addition)
    I would search the net for SCIENTIFIC evidence that these products are harmful.

    skin whitening products are not safe if these contain hydroquinone, mercury or steroids because these harm the skin especially after long term use.. there are safe and effective skin whiteners in the market like this one – http://www.arizona4pinoys.com/best-skin-…
    success in skin lightening also does not rely on products alone.. use of sunscreen, sun exposure, moisturizers, supplements – all contribute to maintaining rosy white skin.. just like skin tanning, skin whitening needs maintenance to keep the results long-lasting..
    the reason wyhy your sis’ skin turns red is because maybe she’s at a stage of peeling right now so any extended exposure to the sun makes her skin sensitive which should be avoided as much as possible, and protected by a high spf sunscreen..
    compared to skin tanning, there are much less reports of dangerous side effects in skin tanning because of sun and artificial tanning exposure which can lead to skin cancer.. just a week ago, a 26-yr old gal died because of too much skin tanning.. i’ve never heard of anybody die due to skin whitening..
    check if your sis is using skin whiteners with the above unsafe ingredients.. if she is, tell her to stop using those products..
