What vitamins/pills can you take to make your hair grow one inch a month?

Question by Shan Patridge: What vitamins/pills can you take to make your hair grow one inch a month?
I’ve been taking, “L-Cysteine” for the past two months and the results aren’t where I want them to be.

Thanks.

  1. I think Biotin is supposed to be good for your hair, skin, and nails.

  2. Your diet will affect your hair like it does your skin (they’re the same material).

    - Hair is mainly protein. Make sure you eat a serving each day, from poultry, fish or pulses. Vitamin B12 (best source is red meat) is essential.

    - Strong, full hair needs iron. Anemia often causes brittle, thin hair. Lean, dark red meat is best for our bodies to absorb it from.

    - Hair needs a variety of vitamins. Include all the different colored fruits/veggies in your diet, 5 a day. Just not an excess of vitamins, which causes thinning & weak hair.

    - Beta carotene (an antioxidant) is needed for hair growth & strength. Best sources are tomatoes, carrots, beetroot and eggs.
