Wondering What Everyone Thinks.?

Do you think it’s hipocritical for people to say it’s horrible for people with darker skin to use things to get lighter when white people don’t get any flack for tanning to get darker? I think it is. I don’t mind people doing either one. I think pale skin, dark skin, and all the colors in between are beutiful. They can both make you look better if done in moderation or in the right amount or they can make you look nasty if you do too much. P.S. I’m not talking about hardcore bleaching to your skin (dangerous!) i’m talking about creams or glutathione pills that just even you tone and may make you a few shades lighter.) Or when black people get nose jobs, even if it doesn’t make their noses “european”, people tell them that they’re getting rid of their “ethnic identity” but everyone else can get nose jobs and no one cares! I think people should be able to do what they want! What do you think?

Petty counter arguments, more often that not, range from the subtle words of comfort “hey, beauty knows no skin colour” to vicious and ugly attacks like “so u wanna be like MICHAEL JACKSON?////”
Err, no.
No matter how accomodating we may be of other skin colours, the most predominant notion that comes to mind is that people with fairer skin tend to be naturally more attractive that those with dark skin. No matter what we do, people will always push the argument that dark skin is a good thing to have.
Also, having a fair skin lessens the likelihood of facing any form of racist slurs or hassles. A report on racism in Toronto by the Toronto Star asked people a few questions about their ethnicity and their encounter with racism. One Italian guy, who said that he did not face any kind of racism that it was “probably because I’m white.” A Venezuelan immigrant agrees, and says that “what saved my *** was my white skin [...].”

Hello =) I live in Bahrain-middle east, so it’s kind of hard to find the skin whitening products displayed online in this country, and since i can’t order anything ONLINE, i was wondering if any of you know a popular EFFECTIVE skin whitening soap i could use that can be found in Bahrain, or at least somewhere in Dubai? Pleaase answer .. <3
