Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) October 1, 2006

Most people use a variety of cosmetics to protect the skin, in their quest for a healthy and radiant look. Skin lightening creams have become an essential cosmetic product for most people and occupy a significant position in the cosmetic market. Consumers regularly buy products such as moisturizing lotions and creams that contain high Sun Protection Factor (SPF) and antioxidants to combat skin tanning and offer protection from environmental hazards. In pursuit of glowing, fair skin, consumers have experimented with harmful pills or ineffective skin peels to get a lighter skin color. Ignorance about the ingredients that are used in skin care products can cost consumers a great deal, both in terms of money as well as health. Use of mercury or hydroquinone in skin care products have resulted in serious health complications and skin rashes. In many cases, these ingredients have also produced uneven patches on the skin. It is important for consumers to understand the significance of the ingredients used in different skin lightening products to ensure safe and effective skin lightening.

Kojic acid is widely used as a vital lightening agent in many skin whitening products, as it is safe and effective. Kojic Acid has proved to be an excellent remedy to address a variety of skin disorders such as age spots and pigmentation problems. It was discovered in the year 1989, and is a derivative of a fungus named Aspergillus oryzae. The common Japanese name for this particular fungus is ‘koji’. It is an effective skin-lightening agent. Kojic Acid is derived from a variety of fungi as well as organic substances such as mushrooms and soy, and controls the formation of melanin.

Urist Cosmetics focuses on a variety of skin care products made from naturally derived ingredients. Some of the most common natural skin lightening ingredients are Kojic acid and Asafetida extract. Kojic Acid Ester is derived from Japanese mushrooms and is one of the vital ingredients used in Skin Whitening Cream and Body Whitening Lotion. This natural derivative decreases the production of melanin, thus producing a lighter skin and more even tone. Skin Whitening Cream, Ultra C, and Advanced Daily Moisturizer formulated by Urist Cosmetics are designed to work together for optimum results. The Skin Whitening Cream combines Kojic acid with Asafetida extract, an Indian herbal plant that also controls melanin formation. This cream also contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids that can boost the skin whitening process by exfoliating colored skin on the surface. Ultra C Serum, which contains Vitamin C, also helps in controlling formation of melanin, one of the chief causes of skin coloring. Advanced Daily Moisturizer comprises of Sunscreen (SPF 15) as well as Anti-oxidants to protect the skin from hazardous Ultra Violet rays of the sun and other environmental hazards.

Melanin is responsible for the formation of age spots and skin darkening, regarded as the most common skin problems. Kojic acid acts gently on the skin and inhibits melanin formation after penetrating the upper layers of the skin. When treated with skin whitening cream containing kojic acid, the new skin that is formed after 4-8 weeks is much lighter.

Skin disorders have always remained a major concern for many people, as they can lead to low self-esteem and lack of confidence. While major skin disorders require professional medical assistance, minor disorders can be addressed by regular skin care regime. One of the chief contributing factors in skin darkening is exposure to harmful rays of the sun. Excessive exposure to sun also leads to early aging, skin blemishes, scarring and even skin discoloration. Brown spots are formed on the skin of some people, a condition known as melasma. ‘Natural Skin Whitening System’ by Urist Cosmetics can offer great help due to the presence of kojic acid, which is safe as well as effective.

I was wondering if Japanese skin care products would work well for me (I am Caucasian). I noticed that many have whitening ingredients, are these safe? There are two brands I have been researching; Kose and Regene. Are these any good? I tend to get occasional acne in my T-zone, I have an annoying issue with blackheads (ick) around my nose, and my cheeks can sometimes get red and blotchy. It seems like I qualify for every skin type so I’m not sure what to get! If I get stuff that’s specifically for Acne my face drys out and gets even redder (it tends to be sensitive), and other products make me breakout! It’s a vicious cycle! Overall however, I have pretty decent skin, it’s very fair and soft. Will the whitening help with the redness? I’m looking for products that have natural ingredients, are safe, have UV protection (I’m very anti-sun and anti-tan) and will hopefully help me get one step closer to having the flawless skin that Japanese women seem to be blessed with! =]

I’m an oriental girl born with light skin as a kid, but now face and other parts are a little tan but my legs are still white!
I want my light skin back for a even tone…
I don’t want tan cuz i’ll have to wear shorts skirts/pants to tan my legs but my legs are fat!
So any cheap and natural whitening tips?
I live in Europe and it’ll soon be summer…how can I keep white skin in summertime??
Oh also, my hair used to be pretty glossy black but due to sun exposure it’s becoming ugly, dry and the color changes to dark brown…it doesn’t look good on me!
How can I keep my hair black? I don’t want to dye it black cuz it’s damaging and unnaturel… And I heard wearing hats is bad for your hair…is that true?
Pwease help me!
