Good luck…I have been searching for the same. I have hyper pigmentation/melasma on my face. I consider to be a very attractive however, only with make up. I’m so sick of wearing and trying and hiding the spots. Several years ago, I had laser treatment that was unsucessful. Haven’t tried this yet but i found these home remedies and other info to check out later….A cream with the ingredient hydroquinone or kojic acid will prevent overproduction of melanin and then also using an alpha hydroxy acid to reduce the pigementation/melasma.

Also, Avocado, microwaved sweet potato, and mayonnaise.

mix one avocado, half a sweet potato, and 4 tbsp mayo. blend until very fine and creamy, add one tsp oil (if you have oily skin, water works too.) and mix again. you can also add first aid cream (johnson & johnson is my favorite.). spread thickly on burn marks and/ or scars. do this for two or three weeks, and they will fade and go away.

The skin will now gradually repair and rebuild itself from the inside outward, stimulated to produce fresh, thicker and more resilient collagen, which over the next few months will fill out more evenly, for a tighter, smoother and more uniform surface appearance. The DOT (Dermal Optical Thermolysis) CO2′s longer wavelength, combined with fractional laser technology takes the treatment deeper into the dermis than current, minimally-ablative fractional applications can. The inherent risks of the CO2 laser are thereby reduced by implementing the fractional delivery, while the fractional treatment results are improved. Additionally, there are no known reports of any delayed skin whitening or excess skin pigmentation associated with the DOT CO2 fractional laser treatment.

You could try Mederma- that’s scar removal. Proactiv also makes one but you can’t order that at a store. Some mall kiosks do sell Proactive there too.
